The western honey bee or European honey bee is the most common of the 7–12 species of honey bees and the only insect that makes food that humans eat. The genus name Apis is Latin for 'bee', and mellifera is the Latin for 'honey-bearing' or 'honey-carrying', referring to the species' production of honey. Beekeepers and farmers widely depend on Apis mellifera for their numerous benefits. Honey bees are highly effective pollinators. They transfer pollen across various crops and wild plants, significantly boosting agricultural productivity and economic impact.
Honey is a delicious way to add sweetness to your life and also has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. Source
